Open Monument Day 2026

During Open Monument Day 2026, most of Kazerne’s ground floor is open to the public free of charge. Explore the living rooms of the former military police barracks (Kazerne in Dutch), the leafy courtyard, the passageway revealing the monumental roof structure, and the former municipal services warehouse, now home to an exhibition featuring the nominated projects for the Kazerne Design Award 2026. Across several spaces, ten young designers, all recent graduates of Design Academy Eindhoven, present their graduation projects, ranging from practical innovations to philosophical reflections. Discover how past, present and future come together at Kazerne.
